Lee Carter

Lee has been an artist and  yoga teacher for the last 20 years then found professional involvement with physical theatre and dance later in life. In 2011, she completed a two-year full time Lecoq  course at LISPA  ( the London international school of performing arts). From 2014-18, she was a member of Maresa Von Stockerts Dance Co Tilted Productions, involved in research and development  and touring Europe and performing in Belongings and Constructions of Thin Air. From 2018-2021, she was part of Ockhams Razor Circus Company. She joined as a performer researching and   developing THIS TIME, which toured extensively, receiving  5 star reviews at Edinburgh Festival. The show also opened the London Mime Festival in 2020 and was reviewed on The BBC Culture Show, garnering more 5 star newspaper reviews. 

 

She has taught workshops at the Glen Foreman School of Acting ,Soho, and is involved with the physical theatre work of Embodied Poetics (director: Amy Russell ).

As well as Plant Assembly Theatre, she is currently working with Sweet Shop Revolution Dance Co as a performer on the development of their new work.
