Dave is a theatre practitioner, actor, writer and director.  . He started training at the Miskin Theatre in Dartford, Kent, and by the age of 18 had already set up a theatre company producing new writing, performed by upcoming artists. In 2002, he went to Dartington College of Arts to study a BA (Hons) in Performance Writing.

During this time, he took a writing project produced in collaboration with Alcoholics Anonymous to New York for a year. He then moved on to be part of the theatre company Walk Tall, which works with vulnerable young people and helps them to build confidence through the performing arts. Dave worked for Walk Tall as actor, writer and director.

In 2008 he became artistic director of the Woodshed Theatre Company, an inclusive company producing high-quality work made by young people. He's also a magician. (We mean it).

Dave is currently teaching at Canterbury College specialising in digital media and narrative.

Whilst completing his MA in theatre (2021) he also directed a new play called "Coffee Ring" that explores what it must be like to have Alzheimer's and to see the world through their eyes.  Dave is currently developing two projects, one set in a gay nightclub and the other showing another side to the life of Alan Turing.

Dave played the narrator in our script-in-hand preview of work in progress, which you can see here.   Dave directed the full version of The Plant and has made the piece an experience you will never forget.
